Kolkata-based designer Nikita Bajoria, who is known for using a wide range of colors in her clothes, explores a different mental space with her new partywear collection in neutral shades. Nikita is also a self-taught artist with a keen sense of color, which she uses suitable fabrics to create a sense of harmony. The Beautiful Mind uses distressed satin and crepes to create a series of garments ideal for evening wear. While she uses colors like grey, black, white, green, and muted shades of red, there are small minimalistic motifs too, like a dreamcatcher mandala, butterflies, or beadwork resembling macramé, to symbolize positivity or happiness.
Nikita's signature-style panel work is also visible in a few dresses that drape over the form, like one in midnight blue and black, and another in red. But despite all her experimentations with cuts, styles, and drapes, comfort comes first for the young designer. Her debut collection is a perfect blend of resort and pret wear, which in itself rejoices the celebration that life is. Being inclined towards art through dance and painting since childhood, Nikita's creative expression inspired her to pursue her innate desire to set the trend in creativity, hence the label Nikita Bajoria. She graduated from NIFT, Kolkata, in 2014 and won the 'most creative & innovative design collection' for her graduation project.
The label 'Nikita Bajoria' inspired by the feminine spirit, is a fashion brand launched in 2017. "NIKITA BAJORIA" is inspired by the women's spirit that has since centuries been a symbol of infinite inspirations, the guiding light for unexplored trails, and the comfort in times of change.
